Dr. Marc Zupan earned his Doctoral and Masters Degrees in Mechanical Engineering (Solid Mechanics and Materials Thesis) from John Hopkins University. As a National Science Foundation (NSF) International Research Fellow, he completed his Post-Doctoral work at the Micromechanics Centre at the University of Cambridge.
As Fulbright Scholar hosted at FEUP-Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto he created tools, methods and educational components for Global Engineering endeavors.
Dr. Zupan has more than 20 years of experience researching and teaching materials, metallurgy, and solid mechanics. As a Fulbright scholar and global engineer, Dr. Zupan brings a unique cross-cultural perspective to forensic engineering investigations. He has published more than 40 indexed, peer-reviewed scientific articles and routinely presents at technical conferences in the U.S. and abroad. This academic rigor allows him to draw scientific conclusions and effectively translate his findings to the lay person.
